Eyeliner Before-Care Instructions
Avoid Certain Medications
Discontinue the use of blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) 3-5 days before the procedure, unless otherwise advised by your doctor.
Avoid using any Retin-A or other exfoliating skincare products around the eyes for at least a week before.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
Stay away from alcohol and excessive caffeine at least 24 hours before your appointment as they can thin your blood and cause excessive swelling or bleeding.
Do Not Wear Makeup
Arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free eyes. This includes mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow.
Consult Your Specialist
If you wear contact lenses, inform your technician, as you may need to remove them during the procedure.
If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities, consult your technician before getting the treatment.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid sunburns or tanning around the eyes for a few days before the procedure. Sunburned or irritated skin may interfere with the healing process.
Expect Minor Swelling and Tenderness
Understand that there may be mild swelling, tenderness, or redness after the procedure, but this should subside after a few hours.
