Avoid Certain Medications

  • Avoid using any Retin-A or other exfoliating skincare products around the eyes for at least a week before.

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine

  • Stay away from alcohol and excessive caffeine at least 24 hours before your appointment as they can thin your blood and cause excessive swelling or bleeding.

Do Not Wear Makeup

  • Arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free eyes. This includes mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow.

Consult Your Specialist

  • If you wear contact lenses, inform your technician, as you may need to remove them during the procedure.

  • If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities, consult your technician before getting the treatment.

Avoid Sun Exposure

  • Avoid sunburns or tanning around the eyes for a few days before the procedure. Sunburned or irritated skin may interfere with the healing process.

Expect Minor Swelling and Tenderness

  • Understand that there may be mild swelling, tenderness, or redness after the procedure, but this should subside after a few hours.
